Facial contouring corrects the lack of volume in areas of the face that are causing the patient concern. This could be over the cheek bones, temples or the jaw and chin. This can be an issue in both male and female patients.

When we age we lose volume and support of the structures in the face. Patients can become unhappy and anxious about their changing appearance.

The JUVÉDERM range of dermal fillers is made by Allergan, a global health care company that pioneered the development of medical aesthetic treatments for over three decades and the maker behind BOTOX.

Using Juvéderm products, our patients can expect natural-looking and long-lasting results with minimal downtime.

One reason for this is that the Juvéderm facial fillers are known for their exceptionally smooth consistency, which means they can integrate with your own facial tissue to get that natural look.

They use a unique crosslinking technology, called VYCROSS, that allows for longer lasting results and a better lift – smoothing wrinkles, restoring volume and giving skin that healthy glow.

It does this by utilising hyaluronic acid (HA), which is naturally produced by your body and the key to young-looking skin. These HA-based fillers are injected directly into the skin to reduce the signs of ageing and improve overall skin quality, by adding moisture back where it is needed most.

They also add volume to either restore volume lost over time or to provide a subtle enhancement, with minimal swelling – allowing the results to be seen immediately with minimal downtime.

IS THE TREATMENT PAINFUL?

At Mid Kent Aesthetics Clinic we make sure that treatments are as comfortable for the patient as possible. Due to the fact that treatments are administered by doctors the dermal fillers we use can contain Lidocaine which is a prescriptive local anaesthetic. If injecting into sensitive areas such as the lips we also use numbing cream 20 minutes prior to the treatment.

RECOVERY

The patient may experience bruising and swelling which is quickly resolved in one or two days. The dermal fillers give very satisfactory results with minimal intervention. Correctly placed they recreated or create balance to the features and overall harmony to the face.
